Six Things God Hates

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
(Proverbs 6:16-19)

I ran across these in Psalms and figured " Hey, if there are six or seven things God hates then maybe, just maybe I should find out what they are." Not like I was actually doing any of them, not me - no way was I doing stuff God hates on a regular basis.

PROUD LOOK
Well right off the bat I'm in trouble - maybe not with the look but I sometimes have a pride problem. Get a compliment and file it away in the folder of why I deserve that and the rest of you didn't.

LYING TONGUE
I am safe from this one - Oh wait was that a lie.

HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD
OK safe - that is at least if you don't get into that whole spirit of the law stuff like Jesus got into in the sermon on the mount.

A HEART THAT DEVISETH WICKED IMAGINATIONS
Don't you just want to know.

FEET THAT BE SWIFT RUNNING TO MISCHIEF
Well the legs are a little older and not quite as swift as they once were.

A FALSE WITNESS THAT SPEAKS LIES
I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing......

SOWETH DISCORD AMONG THE BRETHREN
Who, me, never,

God hates these - a little something to think about - and maybe if you think you are ok - a little better that the rest of us - not quite the heathen I am - take a look at that first one again - the one about a proud look..........I think I will go and repent now.
